Åtta från Sverige, på Galleri Montan i Köpenhamn

På Galleri Montan i Köpenhamn finns just nu bl.a en av mina diskproppar av silver i gott sällskap med sju andra kollegor från Sverige. Det är en härlig och salig blandning av tekannor skålar och rena objekt. Jag kunde själv inte närvara på vernissagen men hörde att den var både jättetrevlig och bra!!!

Yuki Ferdinandsen på LOD, Arare

Den senaste veckan har jag (när jag inte gjort morgongåvor och förlovnings och vigselringar, vilket det varit högt tryck på den senaste tiden) förberett runt Yuki Ferdinandsens utställning på LOD. I dag blev jag tagen av hur vackra hennes arbeten är. Vi packade upp och satte utställningen, på lördag är det vernissage. Att se en annan silversmeds arbeten fylla upp galleriet är alltid lika fashinerande. Att lyfta, flytta runt och placera ut, arrangera och hantera någon annans arbeten gör att man får en väldigt stark upplevelse av föremålen. Det är vackert!

ps Ni har säkert sett japanska tekannor med prickar, upphöjningar som dekor. Den tekniken heter arare. Det är vad Yuki arbetar med. Alla små och större punkter på hennes skålar och vaser är gjorda förhand. Visa av föremålen har närmare 200 sådana punkter. ds

about a fabulous exhibition and a beautiful autumn day at LOD

It´s my day at LOD today. Autumn has finally arrived here in Stockholm and the sun is shining, it´s stunningly beautiful. Today is also the day when Pernilla Sylwan has the opening of her exhibition Gold and Candy. It´s a must see exhibition and I think you will be even happier after you have visited Nutida Svenskt Silver, the gallery were the opening is situated.

Hammerclub in Copenhagen

We will visit Copenhagen and the Danish museum of arts and design where we will participate in the exhibition Objects of light. It is a big silversmith gathering called Hammerclub, there will be over 150 silversmiths there from all over the world. Exiting!

Hyo Jung Lim at Gallery LOD

LOD has the honour to present a new guest in the gallery. Hyo Jung Lim has arrived and today we unpacked her beautiful pieces of table accessories and tempura plates. The name of her work with fruit bowls in stainless steel is "A hint of colour". I love the name and I love her work. The opening of her exhibition is on Saturday 19/9.

Tomorrow is the grand opening of Tobias Birgerssons exhibition "Sensual". If you are in Stockholm go to Nutida Svenskt Silver. He has done some beautiful pieces and I am so happy for him.

A new adventure for a silversmith.

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I am in Gothenburg and I will hold a lecture about my work at the Röhsska museum. This cup I made for for the exhibition Urban Ascetic that started at the Röhsska Museum 2001. I have always liked Röhsska.

I am quite busy at the moment. That is satisfying especially when it is fun work to do! I am "baking" a lot of rings and also some prices. The days here in Stockholm are also getting lighter and lighter every day... I also found som collegaues in Australia who make some lovely stands for jewellery. (And please take a look at these dresses)
