Rings in white gold. Ringar i vitguld.

It all began with prototypes in titanium before Christmas. Then we had some problem at deciding if the real rings should be in platinum or white gold. The lovely couple finally and wise decided it was white gold that was the metal to be. The prices for gold and platinum went crazy after Christmas so there was some delay in the process to the finally result. It is one of the biggest rings I have made, it was fun!

A lot of silver at LOD today!

Opening, part two "the wedding" at Say Yes! Yes it is true we have an opening today again. I am rushing of now, will try to use my camera this time (I have no kids with me today). The sun is hiding but it is warm and I feel that it is going to be a happy day.

I am showing this bowl in the gallery on Saturday. The exhibition "Say Yes!" continues and if you ask me this is the perfect gift for the new couple to use in everyday life and to last for ever.

A blue blue sky.

Me and Tobias were in Leksand and spoke about LOD at the metal design department on Leksands folkhögskola (I do not know the exact description for folkhögskola right know). It was some beautiful days. The sky was clear.

Titanium rings. Ringar av titan.

Me and Tobias Birgersson delivered these titanium rings yesterday. The form is inspired by the jewellery of the Tuareg people. I made two necklaces for the rings to hang from, because the happy couple that ordered them wanted to be able to wear them around the neck. They told me that they have horses.

The exhibition "Say Yes!" at LOD. We had the grand opening today. It was a great day! Lots of people and different kinds of people, I like that. But now I am looking forward to a nice Sunday, and I think I will take one extra day off.

Whisk in silver.

Repetition, the pattern of something well known. And in this special case it creates a necklace. I will have finished it before Saturday I hope. I have to decide how long it should be. I guess the name for it will be "The Whisk necklace". It is related to "Bowl no:1, everyday luxury".

Say Yes!

‘Say Yes’ is Lod’s spring exhibition focusing on everything that surrounds a ‘Wedding’. Opening on the 12th April, ‘Engagement’ focuses on rings, jewellery and celebratory coffee. Everything in and around an engagement has been realized in metal for part 1. ‘Wedding’ opens on the 26th April with tiaras, bridesmaids’ jewellery, wedding rings and wedding giftsin silver! This is an exhibition with everything to give inspiration for the big day.

An important and very personal side to LOD is the part that each designer gives when they design and create unique engagement and wedding rings for couples. It is both challenging and engaging to work alongside two people in trying to create the perfect rings that mirror the personalities and emotions whilst also symbolising the commitment of marriage. It is this side of LOD that has given the inspiration to the exhibition ‘Say Yes’.
